Therapy FAQ
Do you offer appointments online or just in person?
Most of my in-person appointments are for EMDR, Psychotherapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, but all services can be done virtually. Set up a consultation to see what works best for you.
What happens during my first psychotherapy session?
In your first session, I will get to know you better by asking about your history, current concerns, and goals. This might include talking about any past medical experiences or treatments you’ve had and the specific issues you’re facing now. I will also explain my approach and what to expect from each session. It’s a great opportunity to see if we’re a good match. Book a consultation to learn more!
What types of psychotherapy do you offer, and how do I know which one is right for me?
I offer a variety of therapies, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Psychodynamic Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Humanistic Therapy. The best type of therapy for you depends on your personal needs, symptoms, and preferences. Schedule a consultation to discuss what might work best for you!
How do I know if Ketamine therapy would work for me?
Ketamine therapy is generally for folks who haven’t had much luck with regular therapy treatments for conditions like depression, anxiety, or PTSD. For the initial session, I will check out your medical history, current symptoms, and we'll talk about how past treatments have worked for you (and not) to see if Ketamine therapy is a good fit.
Are there any downsides to EMDR Therapy?
While EMDR therapy is generally safe, some people might experience a few side effects like feeling emotionally overwhelmed, having vivid dreams, or dealing with intense emotions. It’s a good idea to chat with me to see if EMDR is right for you.
