Therapy FAQ's
Who can get ketamine therapy in Pennsylvania, and what should I expect during a session?
Ketamine therapy is usually for folks who haven’t had much luck with regular treatments for things like depression, anxiety, PTSD, or other mental health stuff. I will check out your medical history, current symptoms, and how past treatments have worked for you during our first visit to see if ketamine therapy is a good fit.
Are there any downsides to EMDR Therapy?
While EMDR therapy is generally safe, some people might experience a few side effects like feeling emotionally overwhelmed, having vivid dreams, or dealing with intense emotions. It’s a good idea to chat with me to see if EMDR is right for you.
What happens during my first psychotherapy session?
In your first session, I will get to know you better by asking about your history, current concerns, and goals. This might include talking about any past medical experiences or treatments you’ve had and the specific issues you’re facing now. I will also explain my approach and what to expect from each session. It’s a great opportunity to see if we’re a good match. Book a consultation to learn more!
What types of psychotherapy do you offer, and how do I know which one is right for me?
I offer a variety of therapies, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Psychodynamic Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Humanistic Therapy. The best type of therapy for you depends on your personal needs, symptoms, and preferences. Schedule a consultation to discuss what might work best for you!
